Frequently Asked Questions
-
Natural, warm, and full of real moments. My style is mostly documentary, meaning no stiff poses - just relaxed, authentic moments so you and your guests can be yourselves and I can focus on the details, emotions, and magic of your day to tell your unique love story.
-
Honestly, it comes down to that gut feeling - you’ll just know. Maybe you already have that feeling, or maybe you want to have a chat first to confirm it in your mind.
If you love my work and my approach resonates with you, we’re probably a great fit! Your photographer is one of the people you’ll spend the most time with on and around your wedding day, so good energy, fun vibes, and trust are key. That’s how we’ll capture magic together.
-
Weddings are where I feel happiest, but I also photograph families and run a separate branding photography business. But honestly, nothing beats the energy of a wedding day - I’m a hopeless romantic and a sucker for an emotional love story!
-
I limit my bookings to 35 weddings per year. This ensures I can give each couple the time, attention, and care they deserve while delivering the highest quality service and images.
-
I do, and I love them! They’re a great way for us to get to know each other and for you to get comfortable in front of the camera - without the time pressures of a wedding day. Plus, you’ll get a gallery full of romantic and fun images to celebrate this exciting time in your lives!
Engagement sessions are included with both of my full-day wedding packages, but are also available as an add-on to any of my other packages, or maybe as a standalone session if you just want some gorgeous, romantic couple’s photos.
-
Absolutely! I wouldn’t have it any other way. If you book me, we’ll have plenty of chances to chat and plan together.
Before booking, I love to have a relaxed chat so I can hear all about your plans, answer any questions, and make sure you feel totally at ease. If we’re local, we can grab a coffee; if not, a video call works just as well!
If you’re having an engagement shoot, that’s another great chance to get to know each other (and have a laugh in front of the camera). Then, in the final weeks before your wedding (typically 2–8 weeks out), we’ll go over all the details - your timeline, group shot list, and anything else I need to know - so that on the day, everything runs smoothly, and we stay on the good side of the wedding coordinator!
Before You Book
Booking & Payment
-
It’s super simple. After we’ve had a chance to meet and talk all things weddings and photography, if you would like to move forward with booking me (Exciting!) you can of course drop me a message to let me know, but the easiest way is to accept the quote that I’ll send you after our call. To confirm your booking, I do need a signed contact - which is also attached to your quote - and a booking deposit.
Once those steps are completed, I’ll be in touch to let you know I’ve safely received everything and confirm your booking so you can tick “Book you dream Photographer” off your to-do list!
-
To secure your date, a £400 deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your wedding. If you’d prefer a payment plan, just let me know - I’m happy to split it into manageable instalments.
-
Absolutely! I mainly cover weddings in Kent, Sussex, Surrey, and London, but I’m always up for an adventure. Travel within 40 miles of Tunbridge Wells (TN1) is included, but if your wedding is further afield, additional travel or accommodation costs may apply. Let’s chat, and I’ll give you a clear idea of what to expect.
-
Yes! I’m fully insured with both public liability and professional indemnity coverage. If your venue needs proof, just let me know - I’ll send it over.
Planning & The Wedding Day
-
In most cases, I don’t need to. I’ve photographed weddings at all kinds of venues - from grand estates to back gardens, and even subterranean vaults! With my experience, creativity, and preparation (I always bring more gear and lighting than I’ll ever need), I’m confident in capturing stunning images even in the trickiest of spaces.
I always arrive early on the day to scout the best spots based on the light and weather. However, if your venue is particularly unique or logistically complex, I’m happy to discuss a pre-wedding visit if needed.
-
It depends on your wedding! I work solo for most weddings and capture everything beautifully, but a second photographer can be a great addition for larger weddings (recommended if you’re expecting 80+ daytime guests), tight timelines, or if you want both partners’ morning preparations covered in different locations. If you’re unsure, let’s chat about what’s best for your day!
-
Absolutely! While my style is mostly documentary, I know how important these are. I work with you before the wedding to create a must-have list of group shots, keeping things organised but relaxed, so it doesn’t feel like a long, drawn-out process. The goal? Get them done smoothly so you can get back to celebrating!
-
I get it - you want beautiful portraits but don’t want to miss the party! I like to split portraits into multiple mini-sessions throughout the day (typically 2-4 short 10-15 minute sessions, depending on your preferences).
This approach works best because:
✅You get back to your guests sooner.
✅ We can take advantage of different lighting throughout the day.
✅ It allows flexibility - we can adjust for weather or if the schedule goes a little off track.
✅ Your emotions and energy change throughout the day, and we capture that natural progression.
✅ You get varied portraits - different light, locations, moods, and maybe even outfit changes!
-
Absolutely! I’ve worked with loads of videographers over the years, and a great photographer-videographer team should complement each other, not compete. I always make sure we’re on the same page so we can both capture your day beautifully without getting in each other’s way. If you’ve already booked a videographer, let me know - I’m happy to connect with them beforehand to make sure everything runs smoothly.
-
You are not alone - most couples tell me this before their wedding! My job is to make you feel comfortable and natural, not stiff and posed. I give just enough direction to guide you, but I also create space for real moments to unfold. Whether that’s making you laugh, setting up a relaxed walk, or giving you something fun to do together, my approach is always easy-going and pressure-free.
And remember - your engagement session is a perfect chance to shake off any nerves before the big day. By the time your wedding comes around, you’ll be pros at it!
After Your Wedding
-
You’ll get a sneak peek within a few days of your wedding, because I know you’ll be excited to see some highlights! Your full gallery will be ready within 6-8 weeks, carefully edited to tell the story of your day beautifully.
-
Every wedding is unique, so the final number varies, but as a guide:
• Half-day coverage: 500+ images
• Full-day coverage: 600+ images
• Deluxe package: 700+ imagesI don’t limit how many images I deliver, but I do focus on quality over quantity, making sure every image in your gallery is one you’ll love.
-
Yes, and they’re absolutely stunning! There’s nothing like holding your photos in a beautifully crafted album that tells the full story of your day. My Deluxe package includes an album, but you can also add one to any package at any time - even after the wedding.
-
Your private online gallery will be live for at least 3 years from the delivery date. You can download your images, share them with family and friends, and even order professional-quality prints directly from the gallery. I always recommend downloading and backing up your photos to keep them safe forever!
-
I strongly believe that printed images are the best way to view a photograph. There’s just something magic about high quality prints.
That’s why I include a print credit with all my wedding packages - to encourage you to choose your favourite images and bring them to life in a way that lasts.
Shortly after I deliver your full gallery, I’ll send you a voucher code, just for the two of you, which you can use to order professional-quality prints and print packs straight from your gallery
What If…?
-
It would take something truly extreme to stop me from photographing your wedding. In over seven years of capturing weddings, it’s never happened! That said, if the absolute worst were to occur, I have a trusted network of talented photographers with a similar style and approach. I’d do everything possible to arrange a replacement who can document your day beautifully.
-
Absolutely. I bring multiple cameras, lenses, memory cards, and flashes to every wedding. My cameras also record to two memory cards simultaneously, ensuring every image has an instant backup. Reliability is key, and I always come fully prepared for any technical hiccups.
-
Some of the most atmospheric and romantic images happen in unexpected weather! Rain, wind, or dramatic clouds can add something truly special to your photos. That said, I always have a backup plan. If needed, we can make use of indoor spaces at your venue, and I always carry a white umbrella to keep the magic going outside. If you’re up for it, we can embrace the elements and create something unique - rain or shine, we’ll make it work!
